AUGUSTA — Maine-ly Harmony women’s barbershop chorus, based at the Togus VA, will perform a free holiday special, “A Joyful Sound,” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Kennebec Community Church, Rt. 105, So. Belfast Ave.

In addition to the women’s four-part harmony renditions of favorite holiday carols and popular songs, the program will feature guest guitarists, performing country tunes, as well as a piano and flute trio. Along with the music, chorus members invite you to share a sing-along with them, followed by hot cocoa and homemade cookies!

The chorus, directed by Kathy Greason, of Hallowell, consists of members from all over the state. Richard Danforth, of Chelsea, will be the emcee.
