HALLOWELL — Despite two goals from Riley Boivin, they Cony boys hockey team fell to St. Dominic 3-2 at Camden National Bank Ice Vault on Thursday.

Logan Leadbetter, Connor Perry, Drew Keithley and Avery Pomerleau each chipped in with an assist for Cony (3-2-0). Tom Small made 32 saves in net.

Mac Pelletier, Austin Roy and Reece Farrell scored a goal apiece for the Saints (1-2-0). Alex Michaud stopped 30 shots.

BOYS BASKETBALL

YARMOUTH 70, MARANACOOK 60: Bailey Darling scored 20 points to lead four players in double figures as the Clippers earned the win in Readfield.

Musseit M’Eareck added 15 points while Aleksander Meteinica (14) and Devon Shields-Auble (11) were also in double figures for Yarmouth (4-1).

Maranacook (4-1) was led by Kent Mohlar with 24 points. Kyle Wilbur added 17 points while Levi Emery had 10.

HAMPDEN 69, CONY 38: Hampden started and finished strong to defeat Cony in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference clash in Augusta.

The Broncos led 18-5 after the first quarter and outscored the Rams 24-8 in the fourth quarter. Ian McIntyre led Hampden (5-0) with a game-high 20 points while Jake Black added 12 points on four 3-pointers. Reid Shostak led Cony (2-3) with eight points.

TELSTAR 53, OAK HILL 45: Tanner Wheeler scored a game-high 23 points as Telstar broke away from a 36-36 tie to start the fourth quarter.

Avery Griffin added 10 points for the Rebels (2-4). Dalton Therrien led the Raiders (2-4) with 14 points, while Connor Elwell added nine points.

WINTHROP 80, ST. DOMINIC 20: Jacob Hickey scored 20 points as Winthrop ran away from St. Dominic in a Mountain Valley Conference matchup.

Cameron Wood and Anthony Owens added 10 points apiece while Garrett Tsouprake tallied nine points and nine rebounds for the Ramblers (6-0).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

ST. DOMINIC 36, WINTHROP 26: Chloe Dwindle and Carolina Castonguay each scored 11 points to lead the Saints (3-2) to the MVC win in Winthrop.

The Ramblers (0-5) were led by Adlin Chaparin with 10 points and Katie Perkins with six.
