LAWRENCE — Nia Irving had a huge game with 32 points and 21 rebounds to help lead the Lawrence High School girls basketball team to a 64-45 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win over Hampden Academy Tuesday in Lawrence.

Domi Lewis chipped in with eight points and eight assists for Lawrence (6-0) while Molly Folsom added eight points as well.

Braylee Wildman was the lone Hampden player in double figures for Hampden (3-3) with 11 points.

MESSALONSKEE 60, MT. BLUE 40: Sophie Holmes scored 26 points and added eight rebounds as the Eagles scored a KVAC A win over the Cougars in Oakland.

Ally Turner added 14 points for Messalonskee (5-1) while McKenna Brodeur chipped in with seven points and as many rebounds.

Caitlin Kane led the way for Mt. Blue (2-4) with 15 points.

MADISON 55, HALL-DALE 44: Kayla Bess had a game-high 27 points to help lift Madison (7-1) to a Mountain Valley Conference win over Hall-Dale (2-5) in Farmingdale.

Madeline Wood also finished in double figures in the win with 11 points while Lauren Hay added eight points and 13 rebounds.

Dani Sweet had 15 points and eight assists to lead Hall-Dale. Kayla Johnson had 10 points and four blocks in the loss.

RANGELEY 51, BUCKFIELD 27: Blayke Morin finished with 32 points, 10 rebounds and four steals as the Lakers cruised to an East/West Conference win over the Bucks in Buckfield.

Sydney Royce added nine points and five steals in the win for Rangeley (5-1) while Natasha Haley chipped in with three points and five rebounds.

Alexis Bennett had eight points to pace Buckfield (2-6).

VALLEY 51, GREENVILLE 18: The Cavaliers shut out the Lakers 12-0 in the first quarter on their way to an East/West win in Bingham.

Jordan Belanger had 14 points and six assists for Valley (3-4) while Haven Mayhew also finished with 14 points. Kendra Sweet chipped in with eight points and nine rebounds in the win.

Emily Vraux scored eight points to pace Greenville (0-2).

CONY 52, ERSKINE 49: Haley Ward scored 15 points in the second half, including a 3-pointer at the buzzer gave Cony the win over Erskine

Ward’s 24-foot game-winner gave her a game-high 19 points on the night. Cate Silva added 10 points for the Rams (2-4). Mallory Weaver led the Eagles (2-4) with 17 points, while Mallory Chamberlain chipped in with 12.

CARRABEC 37, OAK HILL 24: Bailey Dunphy scored 13 points to lead the Cobras to the MVC win in North Anson.

Mickayla Willette and Kate Stevens each scored eight points for Carrabec (3-3).

Oak Hill (4-3) was led by Bri Mulherin with a game-high 14 points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

VALLEY 64, GREENVILLE 44: Cody Laweryson and Colin Miller each recorded double-doubles as the Cavaliers picked up an East/West win over the Lakers in Bingham.

Laweryson had a game-high 20 points to go along with 10 rebounds for Valley (7-0) while Miller notched 13 points and 14 rebounds. Luke Malloy added five points and eight assists in the win.

Nick Foley had 15 points to pace Greenville (2-2).

CONY 49, ERSKINE 40: Nijual Davis scored a game-high 14 points and T.J. Cusick added 12 points — including three 3-pointers — to lead the Rams to the KVAC A win in South China.

Jordan Roddy chipped in 10 points for Cony (3-3).

Josh Reed and Cody Beaudoin scored seven points apiece for Erskine (1-5) while Cody Taylor and Trevor Hubbard each had six.

GARDINER 41, SKOWHEGAN 40: Sophomore Ben Shaw scored 14 points to lead the Tigers to the KVAC A win in Skowhegan.

Jordan Lamb added 10 points for Gardiner (2-3).

Issac Witham scored a game-high 23 points to lead Skowhegan (3-3). Brendan Curran added nine.

HAMPDEN 71, LAWRENCE 47: Brendan McIntyre knocked down five 3-pointers and 17 points to lead unbeaten Hampden to a 24-point win over Lawrence.

Nick Gilpin added 16 points for the Broncos (6-0). Mason Cooper led the Bulldogs (2-4) with 28 points, including five 3-pointers. Seth Powers added 10 points.

MESSALONSKEE 77, MT. BLUE 26: James Lathrop scored 24 points — 18 in the first half — to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Farmington.

Nathan Violette added 14 points for Messalonskee (4-2).

Zack Mittelstadt led Mt. Blue (0-6) with 12 points while Evan Backus chipped in seven.

BUCKFIELD 47, RANGELEY 45: Alec Brough had 15 points as the Bucks held on for an East/West win in Buckfield.

Ethan Jackson added 11 points for Buckfield (4-3).

Ricky Thompson and Carl Trafton finished with 15 and 11 points, respectively, for Rangeley (2-4).

BOYS HOCKEY

WATERVILLE 6, GORHAM 0: Cody Pellerin scored a pair of goals and assisted on two others as the Purple Panthers stayed unbeaten with a win over the Rams in Wateville.

Justin Wentworth, Jackson Aldrich, Andrew Roderigue and Nick Denis also scored goals for Waterville (5-0-0 Class B North).

Noah Bird made 52 saves for Gorham (2-3-0 Class B South) in the loss.
