AUGUSTA — Lithgow Public Library will host an informative workshop on how to have difficult conversations related to dementia at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7. The program, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the program room of Lithgow’s temporary quarters at the Ballard Center, 6 East Chestnut St.

Dementia Conversations is an education workshop offered by the Alzheimer’s Association. This program will offer helpful tips to assist families with difficult conversations related to dementia, including going to the doctor, deciding when to stop driving, and making legal and financial plans.

Presented by the Maine chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, this program is primarily designed for working adults who have a family member or close friend beginning to experience Alzheimer’s or another dementia.
