WALES — Hall-Dale outscored Oak Hill 19-1 in the second quarter to rally from an early eight-point deficit and pick up a 38-32 Mountain Valley Conference girls basketball win Saturday.

Dani Sweet led the Bulldogs (3-6) with 10 points while Thea Sweet added eight points.

Grace Sabine led the Raiders (5-6) with eight points and seven rebounds.

MESSALONSKEE 62, OCEANSIDE 45: Sophie Holmes scored a game-high 27 points to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Rockland.

Ally Turner added 16 points for Messalonskee (7-1).

Alexa Mazurek led the way for Oceanside (3-4) with 11 points.

LAWRENCE 64, CONY 30: Nia Irving dominated with 26 points and 24 rebounds as Lawrence cruised to a KVAC win over Cony in Fairfield.

Domi Lewis added 15 points and six assists for the Bulldogs (8-0). Autumn Sudsbury had eight points to lead the Rams (2-5).

MONMOUTH 51, WISCASSET 21: Tia Day and Sidney Wilson each scored nine points to lift the host Mustangs to the win.

Abbey Allen and Abbey Ferland added seven points apiece for Monmouth (7-1).

Gabby Chapman scored a game-high 11 points for Wiscasset (3-6).

MT. ABRAM 46, WINTHROP 34: Alora Ross scored 12 points to lead the Roadrunners to the MVC win in Salem Township.

Summer Ross added 11 points for Mt. Abram (2-7).

Winthrop (0-8) was led by Adlin Chaparin with a game-high 14 points and Katie Perkins with eight.

BOYS BASKETBALL

MESSALONSKEE 60, OCEANSIDE 43: The Eagles outscored the Mariners 29-15 in the final quarter to earn the KVAC A win in Oakland.

James Lathrop had 19 points and eight rebounds for Messalonskee (5-3) while Sawyer Michaud added 14 points and four assists.

Oceanside (6-1) was led by Keenan Hendricks with 13 points.

HALL-DALE 70, OAK HILL 41: Hall-Dale exploded for 26 points in the second quarter and kept its foot on the gas pedal in an Mountain Valley Conference victory over Oak Hill.

Josh Berberich led the Bulldogs (5-4) with 14 points. Dalton Therrien had 10 points to pace the Raiders (2-7).

GARDINER 52, NOKOMIS 35: Jordan Lamb tallied 26 points and 21 rebounds to lead Gardiner to a KVAC win over Nokomis in Gardiner.

Brian Dunn added eight points for the Tigers (4-3). Zach Hartsgrove poured in 15 points to lead the Warriors (2-6).

WINTHROP 76, MT. ABRAM 42: Jacob Hickey scored 22 points, including four 3-pointers, to spark the Ramblers to the MVC win in Salem Township.

Anthony Owens added 14 points for Winthrop (7-1) while Garrett Tsouprake had 11.

Mt. Abram (1-8) was led by Danny Luce with 13 points.
