WATERVILLE — Jordan Jabar scored a game-high 16 points to lead Waterville past Medomak Valley 40-21 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball game Saturday.

Fotini Shanos added 11 points for Waterville (2-6).

Medomak Valley (4-4) was led by Justice Barrows with eight points.

WINSLOW 55, MOUNT VIEW 18: Heather Kervin scored 14 points to spark the Black Raiders to the KVAC B win in Thorndike.

Maddy Roy chipped in 10 points for Winslow (7-1) while Paige Trask and Ciara LeClair added nine points apiece.

Mount View (1-6) was led by Jenny Nadeau with eight points.

MESSALONSKEE 62, OCEANSIDE 45: Sophie Holmes scored a game-high 27 points to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Rockland.

Ally Turner added 16 points for Messalonskee (7-1).

Alexa Mazurek led the way for Oceanside (3-4) with 11 points.

MADISON 50, LISBON 31: Kayla Bess scored 12 points to lead the Bulldogs to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Lisbon.

Sydney LeBlanc added nine points for Madison (7-2).

VALLEY 91, FOREST HILLS 52: Junior Austin Cates scored 18 of his 20 points in the first half to spark the Cavaliers to the East/West Conference win in Jackman.

Cody Laweryson added 17 points for Valley (8-0) while Collin Miller chipped in 10.

Aaron Moffitt scored 22 points to lead Forest Hills (4-4) while Brandon Gilboe and Jacob Rivas added nine apiece.

WINTHROP 76, MT. ABRAM 42: Jacob Hickey scored 22 points, including four 3-pointers, to spark the Ramblers to the MVC win in Salem Township.

Mt. Abram (1-8) was led by Danny Luce with 13 points.

ICE HOCKEY

WATERVILLE 5, BREWER 2: Waterville scored four times on the power play to upend Winslow in a Class B North matchup at Alfond Rink.

Nick Denis tallied two goals, including the only non-power play goal, and two assists to lead the Purple Panthers (6-0-1). Matt Jolicoeur, Justin Wentworth and Cody Pellerin also found the back of the net for Waterville, while Michael Oliveira dished out three assists. Nathan Pinnette made 22 saves.

Zach Duncan scored a short-handed goal for Brewer (1-6) while Tyler Friel made 33 stops in net.
