A New York City man was arrested for selling cocaine and heroin at his room in a South Portland hotel, police said.

Jermaine Faulk, 44, was arrested Friday following a search of his room. He was charged with unlawful trafficking in crack cocaine and heroin. A substantial amount of crack cocaine, money and drug trafficking-related items were seized, police said.

Police said Faulk has a long criminal history, including drug, weapons, robbery and resisting arrest charges. He was being held at the Cumberland County Jail on $25,000 bail.

The investigation and arrest were carried by South Portland Police, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Southern Maine Regional SWAT team.
