WATERVILLE — Jordan Jabar scored 27 points and hauled down 11 rebounds as the Waterville girls basketball team rallied from an 18-point deficit in the first half to defeat Oceanside 55-42 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference game Monday.

CARRABEC 39, ST. DOMINIC 33: The Cobras outscored the Saints 16-9 in the final quarter to earn the Mountain Valley Conference win in North Anson.

Mackayla Willette led the offense with 17 points for Carrabec (8-5) while Kate Stevens added 10.

St. Dominic (6-7) was led by Rileigh Stebbins and Allie Veinote with 10 points apiece.

MESSALONSKEE 68, SKOWHEGAN 38: Messalonskee broke open a tie game with a 27-7 second quarter and cruised to a KVAC win over Skowhegan in Oakland.

Sophie Holmes led the Eagles (10-2) with a game-high 22 points. Ally Turner added 14 points, four steals and four assists. Lindsey Warren and Sydney Ames led the Indians (5-7) with seven points apiece.

HAMPDEN 45, MT. BLUE 42: Peyton Smith scored 13 points to lift the host Broncos to the KVAC A win.

Brooklynn Scott added nine points for Hampden (8-4).

Eryn Doiron had 12 points and six assists for the Cougars (3-7) while Caitlin Kane added seven points, four steals and four assists. Olivia Ryan helped out with five rebounds.

WINSLOW 64, BELFAST 11: Heather Kervin scored 13 points to lead a balanced Winslow attack in a lopsided KVAC B game in Belfast.

Winslow (10-3) led 30-5 at the half. Eleven players scored for the Black Raiders. Joining Kervin in double figures was Sarah Guimond with 10 points.

Emma Mehuren scored six points for Belfast (1-10).

FOREST HILLS 62, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 33: Linda Riley scored a game-high 24 points and Caitlin Logston added 18 to lead the Tigers in Jackman.

Alexandra Lessard scored nine points for Forest Hills (10-4).

Clarissa Jones scored nine points to pace GPC (5-9).

BOYS BASKETBALL

FOREST HILLS 71, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 46: Aaron Moffitt scored 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Tigers to the Class D win in Jackman.

Dalton Gregoire added 16 points and five steals for Forest Hills (5-9). Jeremiah Hammond led Greater Portland Christian (5-9) with 15 points, while David Davol chipped in 11.

CARRABEC 65, ST. DOMINIC 39: Dustin Crawford scored 18 points to pace the Cobras in an MVC game in North Anson.

Cade Chipman added 16 points for Carrabec (4-8), while Evan Holzworth added 14.

Jake Bussiere led St. Dom’s (0-12) with 13 points.

BELFAST 65, WINSLOW 55: Zane Bielberg scored 17 points to lead the Lions to the KVAC B win in Winslow.

Garrett Hamlin added 14 points for Belfast (6-6). Zeke Ventura scored 12 for the Lions.

Dylan Hutchinson and Keanu Earle each scored 13 points for Winslow (8-5).

BOYS HOCKEY

WATERVILLE 9, HAMPDEN 1: Jackson Aldrich had a hat trick and an assist to spark the Purple Panthers in Waterville.

Michael Oliveira added two goals and an assist while Andrew Rodrigue had a goal and two assists for Waterville (10-0-1). Nick Denis and Justin Wentworth each had a goal and an assist while Cody Pellerin had a goal and Matt Jolicoeur had three assists. Nathan Pinette made nine saves for the Panthers.

Reece Poulin scored off an assist from Caleb Tribou for Hampden (2-9-0). Cole Benner stopped 26 shots.

MT. ARARAT/LISBON/MORSE 9, LAWRENCE/SKOWHEGAN 4: Bradley Boulet had two goals to lead Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse in Brunswick.

Mark Abreau and Stan Alexander each had a goal and two assists for Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse (6-4-0). Austin Fournier, Riley Austin, Nick Austin, Tyler Halls and Tyler Lacascio had a goal apiece. Parker Lacy made 18 saves.

Sean Savage, Alex Paul, Sam Craig and Brady Martin each scored for Lawrence/Skowhegan (1-8-0). Gunnar Hamm, Savage and Martin each added an assist. Curtis Martin and Hunter Raye combined to make 22 saves.
