WINTHROP — Maine musician Rob Duquette will perform a mini-concert at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, in the King Event Room of the Bailey Library in downtown Winthrop.

Duquette, a multi-instrumentalist with an emphasis on drums and percussion, is a full-time performer and music educator since 1998. Duquette maintains an active gigging career, regularly touring the country, but splitting most of his time between Boston and Portland. Duquette has performed with worldwide renowned composer David Amram, the Portland Jazz Orchestra, and is now a full-time member of American singer-songwriter Jonathan Edwards’ band. A classically trained percussionist, Duquette teaches World Music, African Drumming, and American Popular Music at the University of New England.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the library’s website at http://www.baileylibrary.org.
