Lawrence senior Nia Irving is one of three finalists for the Miss Maine Basketball Award, the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches announced Tuesday.

Irving was selected from a pool of 10 semifinalists along with Maddie Hasson of South Portland and Shannon Todd of York. Irving and Todd will meet in the Class A state championship game at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland.

Cindy Blodgett was the last Lawrence player named Miss Maine Basketball in 1994.

The Mr. Maine Basketball finalists are Thomas Coyne of Falmouth, Andrew Fleming of Oxford Hills and Nick Gilpin of Hampden Academy.

The winners will be announced at the Maine McDonald’s Senior All-Star Awards Banquet on March 11 at the Anah Shrine Hall in Bangor. The awards annually recognize players’ on-court performance as well as their contributions to their team and basketball in the state of Maine.
