WATERVILLE — Levi Barnes scored a game-high 26 points and Adam Carlsen added 14 as the No. 4 Thomas College men’s basketball team sank No. 5 Castleton 83-65 in a North Atlantic Conference quarterfinal Tuesday night.

The Terriers (14-12) will play at top-seeded Husson in a semifinal game Friday at 6 p.m.

Dayne Savage came off the bench to also score 14 points for Thomas, which led 47-29 at the half.

Casey McGraw scored 17 points to lead Castleton (9-17).

Mike Akanji grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds to go along with five points for Thomas. Carlos Gonzalez had 10 rebounds for the Terriers as well.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE 66, UMF 55: The University of Maine at Farmington rallied from a 17-point deficit but came up short in a NAC quarterfinal in Henniker, New Hampshire. Kelly Pomerleau, Meghan Smith and Kennadi Grover each had 12 points for the Beavers (11-15).

Tiffany Davis had 15 points and a game-high 17 rebounds for NEC (19-7).
