LIBERTY — A birdhouse building workshop is set for 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 5, at Walker Elementary School gymnasium.
Midcoast Conservancy members Leigh Norcott and John Twomey will lead this free, hands-on workshop that will include time to build a birdhouse, a demonstration of how to mount bird boxes, and discussion of ideal placement to attract bluebirds and tree swallows.
This event is co-sponsored by Regional School Unit 3 and the Ivan O. Davis Liberty Library. The first 12 households to sign up will receive a bird box kit for assembly. Bring your own hammer, but if you don’t have one, there will be extras available.
