BOSTON — Waterville Senior High School senior Trever Gray took second place in the shot put at the New England Intersholastic Championships on Sunday at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.
Gray’s throw of 54 feet, 6.25 inches earned him second place, behind Elmer Acuna of Newton North, Massachusetts, who threw 57-1. Curtis McLeod of Maine Central Institute placed fifth with a throw of 53-7.75.
Westbrook’s Nyagoa Bayak won the girls high jump with a jump of 5-7.
