NEW PORTLAND — The leaders of the Women’s Ministry at the Western Mountains Baptist Church would like to invite all women to their upcoming events. The new leadership of the Women’s Ministry includes Pat Sanders, Shelly Zoebisch and Nicole Dereszynski, all of Kingfield. The ladies are excited about their roles in this ministry of the WMBC church and are eager to bring women together for friendship, fun activities, learning opportunities and providing outreach into the local communities. For the next few weeks the following events have been planned:

• Tuesday, March 8, a time of bowling from 3 to 4 p.m. at the SugarBowl in Carrabassett Valley. Call Zoebisch at 265-2037 for more information.

• Saturday, March 12, at 9 a.m., a Women’s Breakfast is planned at the church. Those who would like to bring a dish to share it would be appreciated, though not necessary. More importantly, join the group for food, friendship and a Bible discussion. Women and girls of all ages are welcome. For more information, call Sanders at 265-4164.

• Tuesday, April 12, a Pizza Party is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the church. This will be an evening to make and bake homemade pizza; bring favorite toppings to share. In addition to pizza, time will be spent discussing a lesson from the Bible.

All three co-leaders share a similar vision for the Women’s Ministry; to be able to offer a variety of events and activities that will appeal to a wide range of women of varied ages and interests; and, at the same time to continue to learn and grow in their Christian faith. If there is an activity that interests you or you have a skill or hobby you would like to share with this group of active women, connect with either of the co-leaders. Messages can be left on the church phone at 265-2557 or call Sanders at 265-4164. Emails can also be sent to [email protected].
