CLINTON, N.Y. — The Colby College women’s lacrosse team scored seven unanswered goals to pick up a come-from-behind, 10-9 victory over No. 13 Hamilton Saturday in the season-opener for both teams.

Lexie Perticone had two goals and two assists for the 15th-ranked Mules (1-0, 1-0 New England Small College Athletic Conference) while Izzy Scribano made nine saves in her collegiate debut.

Margaret Gabriel, Morgan Fletcher and Darby Philbrick each had a pair of goals for Hamilton (0-1, 0-1 NESCAC).


HAMILTON 11, COLBY 10: Clay McCollum scored with 7:20 remaining to lift the Continentals over the Mules in Waterville in the season opener for both teams.

Sam Sweet had three goals and four assists for Hamilton (1-0, 1-0 NESCAC).

Colton Michel and Kevin Seiler each finished with three goals for Colby (0-1, 0-1 NESCAC).
