WATERVILLE — Inland Hospital’s 19th annual World of Women’s Wellness is set for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Thomas College.

Women of all ages are invited to attend this free event. Inland and dozens of local organizations collaborate to offer free health screenings, wellness information and resources, interactive cooking and exercise demonstrations, gifts and door prizes, and more. Inland’s nutrition partner, Hannaford Supermarkets, will provide samples and share cooking tips, according to a news release from the hospital.

The event will feature celebrity chef and diabetes educator Rory Schepisi. Schepisi was a finalist in the Food Network’s “The Next Food Network Star” contest and now tours the country to share her self-described “sassy” approach to healthy cooking. She will provide cooking demonstrations and samples in an effort to help attendees cook for good health and good taste.

“Women’s Wellness is always a great opportunity to learn new ways to improve your health. Sometimes the simplest ideas, whether they are about cooking or being active, can lead to significant improvements in your quality of live,” Inland’s Community Wellness Team Leader and event organizer Ellen Wells said in the release.

The event is free and no pre-registration is needed. Attendees will receive a free tote bag from Inland and are eligible to win prizes.
