HALLOWELL — The Ladies of the Lake, a quartet of vocalists and instrumentalists who specialize in Celtic music, will perform “A Celtic Musical Celebration” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the Sanctuary, St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 20 Union St.

The Ladies of the Lake specialize in traditional Celtic instrumental music and ballad singing. They have performed for many years as a group and as individuals in Maine and beyond. Ladies of the Lake is Susanne Ward, pipes; Maggie Ericson, button accordion and vocals; Ellen Gawler, fiddle; and Sharon Pyne, flute, according to a news release from event organizer Robert Kellerman.

This concert is the inaugural event in what will be a regular roster of concerts, exhibits and art events at The Sanctuary, serving the Kennebec Valley and beyond. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Warming Center in Augusta.
