WINSLOW — Pitchers and catchers were allowed to begin practicing Monday afternoon, but a snowstorm pushed opening day back for several schools.

The Winslow baseball team and the Gardiner baseball and softball teams were among several central Maine squads that held their first practices for pitchers and catchers on Tuesday.
