Police said a man wearing a yellow surgical mask robbed a credit union Monday morning in the Penobscot County town of Enfield.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the robbery, which took place around 8:15 a.m. at the Penobscot Federal Credit Union at 98 Bridge St.

The sheriff’s office posted a press release and a still photograph of the robber on its Facebook page. He is described as a white male about 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He has dark hair and weighs between 185 and 200 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a Navy blue hoodie, dark bluejeans, light gray-colored sneakers and a yellow surgical mask.

The robber fled on foot after a teller handed him an undisclosed amount of money. The credit union is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man. The Maine State Police and the FBI are involved in the investigation.
