AUGUSTA — A city man was arrested Sunday night after allegedly using threatening language while he was in possession of a firearm during an argument on Outlet Road.

Robert R. Mondor, 46, of Augusta, was arrested shortly after 9 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and terrorizing with a firearm, police said.

Mondor apparently had a disagreement with a tenant living in a home he owns and made statements the tenant believed to be threatening and put them in fear, according to Sgt. Christian Behr. Mondor wanted the other man to leave the property.

Although Mondor had a handgun during the incident, he did not point it at them, Behr said.

Mondor later posted $500 bail and was released from jail.
