UNITY — Unity Barn Raisers is partnering with the Waldo County Sheriff’s Department and Waldo County Triad to host a Drug Take Back event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 29, at the Unity Community Center, 32 School St. This is an opportunity for people to turn in unused or expired prescription drugs.

A study by the Partnership for a Drug-Free America shows that 2,500 American children get high for the first time from drugs obtained from friends and family members, often coming from unused or expired prescription bottles at the home of their parents, grandparents or other relatives.
