GARDINER — Ryan Kelley had three singles and drove in five runs to help the Gardiner baseball team roll past Spruce Mountain 10-4 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Monday afternoon.

Nic Berube drove in two runs and Josh Farrin had a double and two singles for Gardiner (2-0). Hunter Chasse also had two singles and an RBI for Gardiner. Shane Pelletier had a double for Spruce Mountain (1-2).

SEARSPORT 7, RICHMOND 0: Troy Reynolds struck out 14 and allowed just two hits as Searsport rolled to the victory in Richmond. Barrett Grant and Ben Powell each doubled for Searsport (3-0).

Richmond dropped to 0-2.

NOKOMIS 4, MARANACOOK 0: Cody Rice picked up the win on the mound and also had two hits and two RBIs in a KVAC B win in Readfield.

Rice went six innings and allowed just three hits and a walk while striking out two. Brad Allen added a pair of singles for Nokomis (2-1).

Maranacook fell to 2-1.

ERSKINE 13, MEDOMAK VALLEY 2: Erskine clubbed five extra base hits and Luke Peabody cracked three singles to lead Erskine’s 13-hit attack in a KVAC B win over Medomak in Waldoboro.

Nate Howard, Caleb Barden and Cody Beaudoin doubled for the Eagles (1-1) while Dylan Presby and Noah Bonsant each hit a triple. Howard picked up the win for Erskine.

CONY 2, CAMDEN HILLS 0: Taylor Heath drove in a pair of runs in the fourth inning to lift the Rams to the KVAC A win in Rockport.

Kolbe Merfeld allowed three hits with five strikeouts and three walks for the shutout win. Riley Boivin and Cam Dunlop each had two hits, including a double, for Cony (1-2).

Jason Moores doubled for Camden Hills (1-2).

HALL-DALE 23, BOOTHBAY 2: Ryan Sinclair drove in four runs to help the Bulldogs cruise to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Boothbay.

Tyler Dubois drove in three runs for Hall-Dale (2-0). Boothbay (0-2) committed eight errors.

SOFTBALL

RICHMOND 21, SEARSPORT 0, 5 innings: Defending Class D champ Richmond scored 17 runs in the first inning in a rout of the Vikings in Richmond.

Meranda Martin allowed just two hits and struck out 11 while walking none to pick up the win for the Bobcats (1-0). Sydney Tilton was 2 for 4 with a pair of doubles and four RBIs and Kelsea Anair went 2 for 5 with two RBIs.

Searsport fell to 0-1 with the loss.

HALL-DALE 16, BOOTHBAY 0, 5 innings: Becca Ackerson struck out 10 and pitched a no-hitter to lead the Bulldogs to the MVC victory in Boothbay. Ackerson walked two.

Jill Whynot homered to go along with two doubles a single and six RBIs as Hall-Dale improved to 1-1. Haley Houdlette and Emma Begin each had a pair of hits for the Bulldogs. Boothbay dropped to 0-2.

MADISON 6, OAK HILL 1: Aly LeBlanc had two singles and drove in a pair of runs as the Bulldogs cruised to the MVC victory in Sabattus.

Kayla Bess had a triple for the Bulldogs (2-0) as well. Emma Hlister had a double and two singles to lead the Raiders (1-1).

MONMOUTH 11, WINTHROP 2: Katie Canning had a triple and struck out six in the circle as Monmouth downed Winthrop in an MVC softball tilt.

Hannah Anderson added a triple for the Mustangs (1-1). Molly Glaser had a double and pitcher Layne Audet struck out 10 for the Ramblers (0-1).

MEDOMAK 6, ERSKINE 3: Josie Jameson had a double and two RBIs to lead the Panthers (1-1) to the Class B North victory in Waldoboro.

Gabrielle DePatsy pitched a complete game to earn the victory, allowing five hits.

Amber Grady had two singles to pace the Eagles (0-2).

CONY 10, CAMDEN HILLS 4: Delaney Keithley homered and doubled to lead Cony to a KVAC win over Camden Hills in Camden.

Cassidy Turgeon doubled and drove in three for the Rams (3-0) while Sydney Cheever and Cari Hopkins each added a double. Morgan Bowman and Grace Lafloche doubled for the Windjammers (0-3).

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 7, GARDINER 6: Grace Ryan clubbed a pair of doubles as the Phoenix edged the Tigers for a KVAC B win in Gardiner.

Alexis Bessey, Emily Hogan and Mikayla Holt each had two hits for Spruce Mountain (3-0) while Hailey Perkins chipped in with a double.

Madisyn Curran had three singles for Gardiner (0-2), Julia Nadeau added a pair of doubles and Jill Bisson finished with two singles. Bri Brochu chipped in with a single, triple and two walks in the loss.
