ALBION — Swan’s Honey Open Hive Day is set for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Swan’s Honey, 332 Bessey Ridge Road.
The day will entail demonstrations and hands-on workshops including splitting bees, evaluating queens and nucleus hives, introducing mated queens, mite monitoring, mite treatment applications, and tours of honey extracting and processing.

Events will be held hourly on different topics. All events are free; lunch is provided, and there will be door prizes.
The store will be open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. for bee equipment purchases.
