AUGUSTA — The Farmers’ Market at Mill Park will celebrate its Opening Day on Tuesday, May 3. The market will be open 2-6 p.m. every Tuesday through November, offering seasonal fruits and vegetables, breads and baked goods, meats, cheeses, plants and handmade crafts and creations.

This season, look for activities for young and old. Librarian Sarah Schultz Nielsen from Lithgow Library, will return to read children’s books each week at 4 p.m. Local musicians will perform most weeks as well. Plus, the second Tuesday of each month will be a special event, with guest speakers and activities on a different theme.

Credit cards and EBT will be accepted. Continuing this year is the Harvest Bucks Program, which helps people with SNAP benefits double their money on fruits and vegetables.
