SEARCH (Seek Elderly Alone, Renew, Courage, & Hope), a Catholic Charities program, seeks volunteers from Kennebec County to work with elderly clients who are waiting for someone to visit them, provide companionship, and to help with errands.
Support for seniors is needed in the Augusta, Farmingdale, Gardiner, South China, Waterville and Winslow areas.
The program matches volunteers with its elderly clients. Volunteers spend a few hours a week with a senior by providing home visits or assisting with transportation for errands.
