Chelsea’s Cushnoc Academy recently competed at the state finals for Odyssey of the Mind and placed first in their division and received an invitation to the world finals in Iowa.

More than 800 teams from around the world will compete in the 37th Odyssey of the Mind World Finals set for May 24-29 on the campus of Iowa State University, according to a news release from the academy. Odyssey of the Mind emphasizes creativity and teamwork and has grown into the largest international creative problem-solving competition world-wide. Millions of children have been working hard all year perfecting their solutions to Odyssey of the Mind problems and competing within their regions and states.

“I am so proud of the hard work the team put forth to qualify for the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals in Iowa. Competing at the next level with teams from all around the world is an amazing opportunity and a great reward for the student’s team work and dedication to practicing in preparation for their next challenge,” said Coach Tammy Maranda inthe release.
