BATON ROUGE, La. — Four local residents were recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

All initiated at University of Southern Maine, they include Melanie Bureau, of Fairfield; Miranda Hall, of Richmond; Nathan Somes, of West Gardiner; and Veronica Swain, of Augusta.
