AUGUSTA — YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day, a free community event, is set for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 30, at Kennebec Valley YMCA, 31 Union St.
The event is intended to inspire more children to keep their minds and bodies active. This year marks the 25th annual event, the Y’s national initiative to improve health and well-being for children and families, according to a news release from the Y.
The event will feature a bounce house, dunk tank, Minute to Win it games, building with Lowe’s, family yoga with MaineGeneral Health, family Zumba, tie dying, music in the kitchen, build snack mix and more.
Also joining the event will be the Augusta Fire Department, Augusta Police Department, and more than 18 other nonprofit community partners, all offering activities for families during the event.
