PORTLAND — Annie Brannigan scored three goals to lead the Cony girls lacrosse team past McAuley High School 5-4 Saturday. Sam Aker and Savanna Poulin also scored for Cony.

Lizzy Dennison had nine saves for the Rams (1-1) while Sarah Caron had an assist.

Elizabeth Poulin had a goal and an assist for McAuley (1-2) while Jordyn Carr had 13 saves.

LAKE REGION 12, ERSKINE 3: Grace Farrington, Rachel Schanks and Melissa Bonenfant each scored twice in the Lakers’ Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B win over the Eagles.

Katie Throgmartin finished with 10 saves for Lake Region (2-2). Audrey Jordon scored a pair of goals for Erskine (1-1).

MESSALONSKEE 19, CHEVERUS 7: Ally Turner scored eight goals and Lydia Dexter added four as the Eagles cruised to the A North victory. India Languet also scored a pair of goals for the Eagles (2-0).

Cheverus dropped to 0-2.

BOYS LACROSSE

PORTLAND 16, OAK HILL 5: Robert Nolan scored six goals and Sam Shaw added three as Portland rolled to the victory in Wales. Steven Gilbert and Gabe Bergeron each scored two goals for the Raiders (0-3) while Brandon Michaud had 10 saves.

CAMDEN HILLS 13, MT. BLUE 1: Calvin Cameron had five goals as the Windjammers rolled over the Cougars in a KVAC B game in Farmington.

Jonah Cameron added three goals for Camden Hills (4-0) while Kieran Lydon and John Chilton each scored twice.

Joe Bowering had the lone goal for Mt. Blue (1-2) while Alex Gilbert finished with 22 saves in goal.

BASEBALL

RICHMOND 10, BUCKFIELD 0, 5 innings: Matt Holt allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out eight in the Bobcats East/West Conference win over the Bucks in Buckfield.

Tyler Soucy had a single, double, triple and two RBIs for Richmond (1-2) while Curtis Anderson finished with a pair of singles.

Jake Kraske recorded the lone hit for Buckfield (1-3).

SOFTBALL

TEMPLE 7, VALLEY 4: Delaney Carr struck out 13 Cavaliers to help lead the Bereans to an East/West win in Waterville.

Kiara Carr led the Temple (1-0) offense with three singles and a double while Jaimee Feugill had a pair of singles. Valley fell to 1-1 with the loss.
