FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Wellness Fair is set for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, in the North Dining Hall at the University of Maine at Farmington.

The free wellness fair, sponsored by The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and Franklin Savings Bank, will showcase local wellness related businesses and give the community a chance to receive information and tools that help support a healthy lifestyle.

Scheduled events include Healthy Community Coalition cooking demonstration at 9:30 a.m., Mindfulness workshop at 10:30 a.m., UMF Fitness teaching how to exercise without equipment at 11:30 a.m., and End of Rainbow Alternatives Essential an Essential Oils presentation at 12:30 p.m. Yoga demonstrations will take place throughout the day.

The wellness information will continue outside with the Elks Drug Awareness trailer and Healthy Community Coalition mobile units. The Healthy Community Coalition will have their body analyzer. With a body analysis people can discover their body composition, obesity analysis, body type, extracellular and intracellular water and segmental lean analysis.
