Violinist Anne McKee, of Hallowell, will perform a free classical music concert with pianist Chiharu Naruse, at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at St. Matthew’s Church, 20 Union St., in Hallowell.

The program will include works by Mendelssohn, Bach, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff and Paganini. A reception will follow.

McKee is a Kents Hill High School senior and plans to attend Bowdoin College in the fall. In 2014 and 2015, she was named Concertmistress of the Maine All-State Music Festival Orchestra. In 2015, she was named a finalist in the Bangor Symphony Concerto Competition and won Bay Chamber’s Ezra Rachlin Price for Excellence.

She began playing violin at age 4 with the Pineland Suzuki School under the instruction of Betsy Kobayashi of Manchester.

McKee currently studies with Lydia Forbes of the DaPonte String Quartet.
