The Echo Lake Association, in conjunction with the Kennebec County Soil & Water Conservation District, will begin the field work on its watershed survey on May 21. The association plans to visit every property within the watersheds of Echo Lake, Taylor Pond and the Mill Pond during the survey, looking for areas of potential erosion.

The survey is for information only. At the conclusion of the survey process, the association will provide a data sheet with recommendations to each property owner on whose lot erosion potential was found.

Those who own property in the watershed will receive a letter further describing the project and giving information on how to opt out of the survey; email the association at echo4me15@gmail.com.

Those interested in helping with the survey can contact the association at the above email address or arrive before 8:30 a.m. May 21 at the Fayette Elementary School on Route 17.
