Augusta City Councilor Patrick E. Paradis was honored April 22 at a luncheon at Chateau Cushnoc. The event was sponsored by the residents and staff of both Chateau Cushnoc and John Marvin Towers to honor Paradis for his years of public service, according to a news release from Chateau Cushnoc.

Paradis, a member of the board of both facilities, was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Alison Gagnon, regional manager of Elderly Housing Development & Operations Corporation for outstanding and devoted service.

Among the invited guests were Mayor David Rollins, City Councilor Cecile Munsun, City Manager William Bridgeo and Devin Mayo, regional organizer of the Laborers International Union, AFL-CIO. The Rev. Frank Morin offered the benediction.

Paradis, a former state legislator, is serving his last year on the City Council.
