SOUTH CHINA —Jenna Lully and MacKenzie Gayer each had a single and an RBI to lift the Erskine softball team to a 3-2 victory over Leavitt in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Friday afternoon.

Amber Grady, Taylor McLaggan, Mallory Chamberlain and Harley Denning also singled for Erskine (4-3).

Angela Daigle had a double and a single for Leavitt (3-3) while Cierra Hilliard had two singles.

OAK HILL 3, MONMOUTH 1: The Raiders scored two runs in the first inning and held on for the Mountain Valley Conference win in Wales.

Makayla Nadeau had a triple, a single and an RBI for Oak Hill (6-1). Nadeau also earned the pitching win, allowing five hits while striking out eight. Emma Hlister also tripled for the Raiders.

Mikayla Cameron doubled for Monmouth (1-4).

WINTHROP 16, ST. DOMINIC 0, 5 innings: The Ramblers scored 10 runs in the first inning, on the way to the MVC win in Winthrop.

Kayleigh Oberg homered, tripled and drove in five runs for Winthrop (2-2). Molly Glaser had three hits and drove in two runs. Layne Audet earned the win, allowing one hit and striking out six.

Rhiannon Veinote had the lone St. Dominic (2-3) hit, a triple.

GARDINER 8, LINCOLN 1: Bri Brochu had a double and a single to lead the host Tigers to the KVAC B win.

Logan Granholm, Kylie Sirois and Meaghan Meehan each added a single for Gardiner (3-4).

Alyx York had a double and two singles for Lincoln (1-4).

CONY 8, BREWER 3: Six different Cony players doubled as part of a 15-hit attack as the Rams slugged their way to the KVAC A win in Brewer.

Haley Ward, Delaney Keithley, Sydney Cheever, Autumn Sudsbury, Alexis Couverette and Allee Cloutier all doubled for the Rams (5-3). Ward had three singles to go with her double. Skyler Watson held Brewer scoreless in the sixth, thanks in part to an errorless defense highlighted by three diving catches by rightfielder Kasidy Turgeon.

TELSTAR 10, HALL-DALE 3: Telstar clubbed 12 hits and jumped out to a 7-0 lead to defeat Hall-Dale in an MVC game in Bethel.

Becca Howard, Hayley Peterson and Dharma Damon all doubled for the Rebels (6-0). Becca Ackerson and Haley Houdlette had two singles apiece for the Bulldogs (3-3).

GIRLS LACROSSE

CONY 10, WINSLOW 9: Samantha Akers scored four goals as Cony edged Winslow in KVAC B action.

Sarah Caron and Annie Brannigan added two goals apiece while Lizzy Dennison made six saves in goal for the Rams (3-1). Sarah Stevens and Heather Kervin scored three times each and Hailey Grenier made five saves for the Black Raiders (0-3).

BASEBALL

BANGOR 10, MESSALONSKEE 0: Trevor Delaite took a no-hitter into the sixth inning, and faced the minimum 21 batters to earn the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Delaite lost his perfect game when Messalonskee’s (4-3) Kyle Lafreniere reached on a third strike passed ball with two outs in the third, but Delaite picked Lafreniere off to end the inning.

James Lathrop’s single with one out in the sixth inning broke up the no hitter. Delaite finished with 11 strikeouts, and drove in three runs for Bangor (7-0).

ST. DOMINIC 3, WINTHROP 0: Gavin Bates allowed just four hits and a walk while striking out 12 to lead the Saints to an MVC win in Winthrop.

Bates also helped his own cause with a double as St. Dominic improved to 5-0 on the season. Matt Ingram went 2 for 3 for Winthrop (1-4).

SACOPEE VALLEY 8, RICHMOND 2: The Hawks scored four runs in the top of the seventh to break open a close game and earn the victory in Richmond.

Sacopee improved to 8-0.

Brendan Emmons had a double and a single for Richmond (2-3).

MARANACOOK 10, MORSE 3: The Black Bears scored seven of their eight runs in the top of the sixth inning with two outs in a KVAC B win in Bath.

Connor Ireland had an RBI double early on in the big inning and later cleared the bases when the Shipbuilders’ right fielder misplayed a ball he put in play. Mark Buzzell drove in a pair for Maranacook (4-3) with a double in the sixth, while Max McQuillen and Kent Mohlar each finished with a single and a double.

HALL-DALE 15, TELSTAR 6: Ryan Sinclair had three hits and six RBIs as the Bulldogs scored an MVC win in Bethel.

Quinn Stebbins added a single, double and two RBIs for Hall-Dale (5-2) while Tyler Nadeau finished with four singles and four runs scored.

ERSKINE 5, LEAVITT 4: Luke Peabody scored the winning run on a walk-off balk as Erskine rallied for three runs in the seventh in a KVAC thriller in South China.

Peabody drove in the tying run earlier in the inning and led the Eagles (5-1) with two hits. Lucas Perry had a double and two singles for the Hornets (3-3).

BOYS LACROSSE

ERSKINE 14, ST. DOMINIC 5: Max Pacholski had four goals to spark the Eagles to the win in South China.

Caleb Tyler added three goals and four assists while Gavin Blanchard and Josh Reed had two apiece for Erskine (1-5). Grayson Petty and Seth Reed had one each. Jake Peavey made 13 saves.

Reese Farrell scored three goals for the Saints (0-4) and Braden Donovan had two.

BRUNSWICK 18, MESSALONSKEE 11: Max Gramins notched five goals to lead Brunswich past Messalonskee in Brunswick.

Dylan Jones led the Eagles (3-2) with four goals, while Austin Pelletier added 3 goals and two assists. Logan Ouellette made six saves in goal for the Dragons (5-0).
