LISBON — Madeline Wood was the winning pitcher and collected three hits to lead Madison to a 9-1 win over Lisbon in a Mountain Valley Conference softball game on Friday.

Wood pitched five innings, striking out five as the Bulldogs improved to 6-0.

Ashley Emery and Erin Whalen also had three hits for Madison. Lisbon dropped to 4-2.

ERSKINE 3, LEAVITT 2: Jenna Lully and MacKenzie Gayer each had a single and an RBI to lift the Eagles in a KVAC B game in South China.

Amber Grady, Taylor McLaggan, Mallory Chamberlain and Harley Denning also singled for Erskine (4-3).

Angela Daigle had a double and a single for Leavitt (3-3) while Cierra Hilliard had two singles.

CARRABEC 11, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 4: Liberty Chestnut had a double, a single and three RBIs to lead the Cobras to the MVC victory in North Anson.

Bailey Dunphy added a double, a single and two RBIs for Carrabec (3-3) while Paige Chadbourne chipped in with a double and a single.

Jordyn Turner had two singles and an RBI for the Falcons (2-2).

MT. ARARAT 7, LAWRENCE 2: Alana Weaver picked up the win in the circle and helped her own cause with four singles and scored two runs to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Fairfield.

Sarah Lamb added two singles and three RBIs for Mt. Ararat (4-3) while Katelyn Cox had a double, two singles and two RBIs.

Sarah Chace had two singles and an RBI for Lawrence (2-5) while Haley Holt had a double.

TEMPLE 8, HIGHVIEW CHRISTIAN 4: Jaimee Feugill had a bases-clearing double as a part of a seven-run third inning as the Bereans picked up an East/West Conference win in Charleston.

Vanessa Curry added two singles and two RBIs for Temple (2-1). Highview Christian fell to 1-3 with the loss.

GIRLS LACROSSE

CONY 10, WINSLOW 9: Samantha Akers scored four goals as Cony edged Winslow in KVAC Class B action.

Sarah Caron and Annie Brannigan added two goals apiece while Lizzy Dennison made six saves in goal for the Rams (3-1). Sarah Stevens and Heather Kervin scored three times each and Hailey Grenier made five saves for the Black Raiders (0-3).

MT. BLUE 11, LEWISTON 1, 6 innings: Winning pitcher Ryan Pratt had two singles and four RBIs as the Cougars earned the KVAC A victory in Farmington. Pratt pitched the complete game, striking out one, walking two and allowing just three hits. Ethan Andrews, Kenny Williamson and Kyle Farrington each drove in runs for Mt. Blue (1-6) as well.

LAWRENCE 10, MT. ARARAT 9: Kolby Lawrence drew a walk with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning to deliver a victory to the Bulldogs in a KVAC A game in Fairfield.

Brandon Hill led off the inning with a walk for Lawrence (5-2) and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Connor Adams followed with a single to put runners on the corners while Riley Parlin drew a walk to load the bases. The two teams combined to issue 21 walks.

Hill had a pair of singles for the Bulldogs while Devon Webb notched a single and a double. Harper Moutal had a single and a double for Mt. Ararat (2-5) while Jacob O’Neill singled twice.

ERSKINE 5, LEAVITT: Luke Peabody scored the winning run on a walk-off balk as Erskine rallied for three runs in the seventh to defeat Leavitt in a KVAC B thriller in South China.

Peabody drove in the tying run earlier in the inning and led the Eagles (5-1) with two hits. Lucas Perry had a double and two singles for the Hornets (3-3).

RANGELEY 9, VINALHAVEN 7: Kyle LaRochelle, Ricky Thompson and Bo Beaulieu each had two hits to lead the Lakers to the East/West Conference victory.

Thompson pitched the complete game, striking out six, to earn the victory for the Lakers (3-1).

Andrew Moody had three hits for Vinalhaven (3-2).

BOYS LACROSSE

ERSKINE 14, ST. DOMINIC 5: Max Pacholski had four goals to spark the Eagles in South China.

Caleb Tyler added three goals and four assists while Gavin Blanchard and Josh Reed had two apiece for Erskine (1-5). Grayson Petty and Seth Reed also scored. Jake Peavey made 13 saves.

Reese Farrell scored three goals for the Saints (0-4) while Braden Donovan had a pair.

BRUNSWICK 18, MESSALONSKEE 11: Max Gramins scored five goals to lead host Brunswick.

Dylan Jones led the Eagles (3-2) with four goals, while Austin Pelletier added 3 goals and two assists. Logan Ouellette made six saves in goal for the Dragons (5-0).

WINSLOW 14, LAWRENCE 6: Bryce Hillier and David Selwood each scored four goals for the Black Raiders in a KVAC B win.

Jimmy Fowler added three goals and two assists for Winslow (2-2), Jake Houghton notched two goals and four assists and Hunter McCaslin had a goal and three assists.

Gunner McAllister had a hat trick to lead Lawrence (2-2).
