OAKLAND — Kelsey Dillon hit a game-winning single in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Messalonskee softball team a thrilling 2-1 victory over Lewiston in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Monday afternoon.

Sarah Labbe and Hannah Duperry singled in the ninth for Messalonskee (8-0) and advanced on a fielder’s choice by Taylor Easler, which set up Dillon’s game-winning hit.

Labbe, Duperry and Madisyn Charest each had two hits for the Eagles. Kirsten Pelletier picked up the win, striking out 16 with just one walk and three hits allowed.

Jordan Mynaham had two hits for Lewiston (6-3).

CARRABEC 18, BOOTHBAY 0, 5 innings: Sam LeBeau and Mickayla Willette combined to pitch a no-hitter and the Cobras rolled in a Mountain Valley Conference game in North Anson.

Willette also had a triple, two singles and three RBIs for Carrabec (4-3). Baylee Atwood had two singles and two RBIs for the Cobras as well.

Boothbay dropped to 0-7.

GARDINER 3, ERSKINE 2: Gardiner scored a run in the top of the seventh inning to snap a 2-2 game and went on to defeat Erskine in South China.

Mallory Bailey had three singles for the Tigers (4-4). Jillian Bisson went the distance for Gardiner, allowing just four hits.

Erskine dropped to 4-4.

OXFORD HILLS 16, SKOWHEGAN 3, 5 innings: Hannah Kenney homered as Oxford Hills pounded out a dozen hits to defeat host Skowhegan.

Erin Morton added a triple for the Vikings (4-4). Sydney Reed had two of the three hits for the Indians (3-5) with a single and double.

EDWARD LITTLE 7, LAWRENCE 0: The Red Eddies pounded out ten hits to take the KVAC A win in Auburn.

Edward Little (7-1) scored five runs in the first inning. Lawrence dropped to 2-6.

OCEANSIDE 11, WINSLOW 8: The Mariners scored six runs in the third inning to win the KVAC B battle of undefeated teams in Rockland.

Alexis Mazurek homered and drove in three runs for Oceanside (8-0). Brianna Dugan homered and drove in a pair for the Mariners. Ari Curtis and Kalyn Grover each drove in two runs for Oceanside.

Nat Greene had two RBIs for Winslow (6-1). Greene, Jenna Petrovic and Liz Poulin each had two hits for the Black Raiders.

FOREST HILLS 7-15, TEMPLE 5-4: Linda Riley doubled and homered in game two of a Class D doubleheader, lifting the Tigers to the sweep at Thomas College in Waterville.

Caitlin Logston added three singles for Forest Hills (4-3) in game two. Jamie Feugill had three singles and a double for Temple (2-3).

In game one, Logston hit two triples and two singles for the Tigers. Feugill had three hits for Temple.

BASEBALL

EDWARD LITTLE 7, LAWRENCE 3: Tyler Blanchard and Grant Hartley each had a single and a double for the Red Eddies in Auburn.

Brandon Varney went all six innings to pick up the win for Edward Little (8-0) and also helped his own cause at the plate with a double.

Connor Adams had a pair of singles for Lawrence (5-3) while Braden Ballard and Brandon Hill each doubled.

MESSALONSKEE 10, LEWISTON 5: Tyler Lewis had three singles and two RBIs and Jared Cunningham had three hits to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A victory in Oakland. Josh Joy had three hits, including a double, and Connor Garland had a pair of hits for the Eagles (5-3).

Hunter Landry and Jack Leblond had two singles for the Blue Devils (3-6).

BREWER 9, MT. BLUE 1: Logan Rogerson had two doubles and Jack Corey had a double and a triple to lead the visiting Witches to the KVAC A victory in Farmington. John Wheaton and Tyler Williams also had a pair of hits for Brewer (3-5). Tom Wing had two singles for the Cougars (1-7).

LEAVITT 3, MOUNT VIEW 0: Brian Hewitt struck out 11 and tossed a two-hit shutout as Leavitt blanked Mount View in Thorndike.

Liam Cail and Logan Curtis had the hits for the Mustangs (0-8), both singles.

MADISON 9, TELSTAR 5: The Bulldogs scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take the MVC win and improve to 8-0.

Chase Malloy drove in three runs for Madison. Evan Bess and Devon Watt each scored twice for the Bulldogs. Ryan Emery threw a complete game for the win, striking out four and walking three.

Telstar dropped to 2-6.

OCEANSIDE 4, WINSLOW 2: Michael Dougherty tossed 3 1/3 innings of shutout relief for the win, and Jack Freeman struck out a pair with the tying run on base to lift the Mariners to the KVAC B win in Rockland.

Thomas Curtis hit a pair of RBI singles for Oceanside (7-1). Riley Sprague stole three bases and scored twice for the Mariners.

Dameron Rodrigue drove in both Winslow (6-1) runs.

GIRLS LACROSSE

ERSKINE 10, LAWRENCE 0: Audrey Jordan scored three goals and Kaitlyn Darveau added a pair to pace the Eagles in South China. Malorie Weaver had 14 saves to lead Erskine (4-1) as well.

Ashley Doyon had seven saves to lead the Bulldogs (0-5).
