JACKMAN — The 10th annual Night of Stars is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 18 at Forest Hills School. The elementary school shining star students who met their reading goals will be recognized.

Students being honored include Taylor Demanski, Violet Haigis, Matthew Hall, Landon Lemaire, Logan Lemaire, Shelby Veilleux, Maddox Cuddy, Aaden Nadeau, Kelsey Rancourt, Vaughn Varney, Kaira Veilleux, Emma Vining, Melynda Worster, Liam ¡, Jacob Bennett, Addison Chaisson, Riley Demanski, Carroll Frigon, Alan Crawford, Blaine Nadeau, Garrett Rohr, Morgan Tierney, Connor Achey, Grace Allen, Allison Austin, Peyton Chaisson, Carli Frigon, Brody Kinsey, Emma Lacasse, Aurelie Poulin, Sydney Rodriguez and Braiden Welch.

Special guests and speakers will include authors Lynn Plourde and Donn Fedler. Together they released “Lost Trail” in 2011.

Refreshments will be served in the commons directly following the program.

Plourde will spend the day with elementary school students to share her books and give writing advice. Fedler will share his story about his nine days lost on a mountain in Maine.
