Raw Space: Downtown Art Walk is set for 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 13, on Water Street in Augusta.

The Art Walk, a collaboration with the University of Maine Augusta, and sponsored by the Maine State Credit Union, the Augusta Downtown Alliance, utilizes art to celebrate the community of Downtown Augusta by unleashing the untapped potential of pure urban rawness that lies within many empty spaces available for development along Water Street.

Raw Space provides artists with the backdrop to display their works.

These raw spaces will include artwork by the following artists:

• 243 Water St., main floor: Peter Precourt and Luc Demers Joshua Yurges; and first floor: Deidrah Stanchield, Rob Sherman and Sheryl Wing

• 265 Water St.: Cynthia Ahlstrin and Hugo Anderson
