Next month, Democrats in Senate District 14 (Chelsea, Farmingdale, Gardiner, Hallowell, Manchester, Monmouth, Pittston, Randolph, Readfield, West Gardiner and Winthrop) have the opportunity to elect a uniquely qualified state senator: Shenna Bellows of Manchester.
Shenna has been a presence in the Legislature for years; she knows how to work with people of all parties to make meaningful changes. As the executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Maine, she brought together broad coalitions in support of equal rights, criminal justice reforms, reproductive freedom, immigrants’ rights, voting rights, and privacy issues. She knows the lay of the land in that difficult environment and will be an effective state senator for our community.
