AUGUSTA — Bret Sproul scored five goals and added an assist as Cony defeated Erskine 18-5 in boys lacrosse action Thursday.

Chad Bickford added four goals for Cony (10-0), Dale Lapierre notched two goals and two assists and Dalton Bowie scored twice.

Grayson Petty had two goals while Josh Reed recorded one goal and two assists for Erskine (1-9).

MESSALONSKEE 16, MT. ARARAT 6: Dylan Jones poured in four goals in Messalonskee’s KVAC A win in Topsham.

Austin Pelletier added two goals and four assists in the win while Will Weeks notched two goals and three assists. Connor Smith finished with a hat trick for Messalonskee (7-2).

Jason Magno and Steven Shuman each scored twice for Mt. Ararat (1-8).

SOFTBALL

RICHMOND 13, RANGELEY 2: Kalah Patterson had two singles and drove in three runs to help the Bobcats pick up an East/West Conference win in Richmond.

Meranda Martin and Sydney Tilton each added two singles and two RBIs for Richmond (10-0), while Camryn Hurley recorded a single and a double.

Sydney Royce doubled for Rangeley (3-6).

BASEBALL

RICHMOND 14, RANGELEY 4, 6 innings: Brendan Emmons and Curtis Anderson each rapped three hits, including a double, to lead Richmond’s 14-hit attack as the Bobcats slugged their way past Rangeley in Richmond.

Nate Kendrick added a double and single and Mitchell Couturier two singles for the Bobcats (6-4). Zach Small picked up the win on the mound after allowing just two hits, two walks and one earned run while striking out five in six innings. Rangeley dropped to 5-4.
