The following Memorial Day events are planned in Jackman:

Presentation of Colors will begin 9 a.m. Friday, May 27, at Forest Hills High School. Color Guard participants will be Forrest Griffin, William Kneeland, Ian McKendry, Linda Riley and Ian West escorted by Cub Scouts.

The event will include: Pledge of Allegiance by Patricia Lessard, Student Council President; “Star Spangled Banner,” performed by String Ensemble; Commemoration of Vietnam War Veterans and Memorial Wall; salute to all branches of the military, performed by elementary students; “Johnny Has Gone for a Soldier,” by Autumn Pacheco; Young American Awards and a Memorial Tribute to Veterans who have passed since last Memorial Day; “Amazing Grace” performed by String Ensemble accompanied by Hannah Harmon; “Walk Together Children” performed by Elementary Students, “Bring Him Home” performed by chorus; “Taps” and Retrieval of Colors.

Memorial Day Parade will start at 10 a.m. Monday, May 30, at the Jackman Town Office. A free luncheon at American Legion, sponsored by the VFW Auxiliary, will follow the parade.
