The Monmouth American Legion Post 204 will host a Memorial parade and ceremony Monday, May 30.

The North Monmouth Ceremony will commence at 9 a.m. at the Veteran’s Monument.

Parade participants will convene at Cumston Hall in Monmouth immediately following the ceremony proceeding at 10:30 a.m. down Main Street to the Veterans’ monument for services, which will include songs by local artists, a memorial rifle salute, and a brief message from Past Commander of Post 204 and U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer (retired) Rich Howard.

Chairs will be provided at the monument for veterans who are unable to march in the parade.

All active, National Guard, Reserve Military personnel and Veterans as well as Legionnaires and Members of other Veteran’s fraternal organizations from the Monmouth area are invited to participate in the parade in uniform, if you’ve still got it.
