WATERVILLE — Area residents were among 504 seniors who graduated from Colby College on May 22, receiving bachelor of arts degrees at the college’s 195th commencement. Internet pioneer and author Arianna Huffington was the guest speaker.

Area graduates are as follows:

Xiaojie Chen, of Wilton, attended Mount Blue High School and is the son of Liting and Sumei Chen of Wilton. Chen majored in economics with a concentration in financial markets and mathematical sciences with a concentration in statistics.

Cameron C. Copeland, of Monmouth, attended Monmouth Academy and is the son of Shawn Copeland, of Leeds, and Sherry Copeland, of Auburn. Copeland majored in global studies.

James R. Cornell, of Jefferson, attended Laguna Blanca School and is the son of Martha Elliott, of Jefferson, and James Cornell, of Unionville, Pennsylvania. Cornell majored in studio art.

Benjamin T. Crocker, of Hallowell, attended Hall-Dale High School and is the son of Daniel and Christine Crocker, of Hallowell. Crocker majored in psychology with a neuroscience concentration.

Amelia M. Diplock, of Vienna, attended Cony High School and is the daughter of Peter Diplock, of Vienna, and Andrea Smith, of Chelsea. Diplock majored in psychology with a neuroscience concentration.

Kendra E. Elie, of Leeds, attended Leavitt Area High School and is the daughter of Jonathan and Melissa Elie, of Leeds. Elie majored in English.

Anna N. Herling, of Bowdoin, attended Cheverus High School and is the daughter of Douglas and Linda Herling, of Bowdoin. Herling majored in biology and psychology.

Ethan F. Johnson, of Skowhegan, attended Skowhegan Area High School and is the son of Jeffrey Johnson, of Skowhegan, and Patricia Gower, of East Madison. Johnson majored in environmental policy.

Jesse R. Juntura of Greene, attended Leavitt Area High School and is the son of Reynaldo and Tami Juntura, of Greene. Juntura majored in government and global studies.
