GARDINER — Open Book Players will present “The Wizard of Oz,” adapted by Dr. William Adams and based on the classic story by L. Frank Baum. The performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11, and 2 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center.

The show will feature 19 actors ranging in ages from 8 to 15 years old and from neighboring communitie. Each actor will perform multiple roles during the course of this four part adaptation.

Participating in the play are Katie and Casey Daigle, Annie Giroux, Claudia Dunn, Alexa Gallant, Emma Curtis, Daisy Cole, Kaylee Benoit, Amara Beganny, Evelyn Henke, Ruby Colwell, Peyton Stevens, Julian Kennett, Lilly Diversi, Allison Lerch, Sarah Rossignol, Leah Herrick, Yana Montell and Lily Matos.

The show is directed by Lucy Rioux and assisted by Cindy Turcotte. Technical crew includes Linus and Naomi Obenhaus with special assistance by Wyatt Giroux.

General admission tickets cost $8 for adults, $5 for students.
