WINDSOR — Maine 4-H Days will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, July 22, and ends Sunday, July 24, at Windsor Fairgrounds, 82 Ridge Road, with volunteers packing first-aid kits for the Maine Mounted Search and Rescue team. The kits will be donated during the team’s Saturday rescue demonstration starting at 6 p.m.

Volunteers are needed for this community service event — 10 to be team leaders and 100 to pack the kits.

The annual event is sponsored by University of Maine Cooperative Extension and the Maine 4-H Foundation. Enrichment workshops include archery, bike rodeo, clay play, Lego robotics, miniature gardens and numerous animal topics. An ice cream social and a law enforcement K-9 demonstration also will be held.

The event is open to the public; registration is required. Weekend registration will cost $5 per person, $7 after July 5; $15 per family, $20 after July 5.
