Janet Edwards, a well-know local herbalist, will discuss making herbal skin care preparations at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at the Farmington Grange 12 on Bridges Street in West Farmington. Using 100 percent natural ingredients, some of which can be grown or harvested here in Maine, a demonstration of how to use steam scrub hydration and homemade moisturizer for a facial is planned.
Owner of Mountain Mama of Maine, Edwards has spent 30 years growing and wild-gathering medicinal plants here in Western Maine.
This is another in the Grange’s “Occasional Lecture Series” focusing on the rural arts. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served; donations gratefully accepted. For more information, call 778-2932.
