The Kennebec Performing Arts Company seeks musicians for the 2016-17 season. The three ensembles an auditioned four-part chorus, a large wind ensemble, and a jazz band — perform in at least two concert series each year.
The organization seeks clarinets, flutes, double reed instruments and vocalists and welcome all musicians. The ability to read music is required, however, and an audition may be necessary. Chorus rehearses are set for 6:30-8:30 Monday nights at Hope Baptist Church in Manchester, the first rehearsal is set for Sept. 12.
Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble rehearse from 5:45 to 7 Tuesday nights at several area high schools. The first rehearsal is set for Sept. 13 at Cony High School.
