A man who stole a pickup truck in Hollis later stopped at a local convenience store to put gas in the vehicle and to pick up a few items for the road, according to the Maine State Police.
In a post on their Facebook page, state police say the man took the white, 2002 GMC extend cab pickup truck from 34 Waterboro Road in Hollis early Friday morning. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys had been left in the ignition.
The thief, a white male who was shirtless and wearing shorts, then drove to the Hollis Lil Mart, where he put fuel in the truck and went inside the store to purchase items. He then left the store and drove in the direction of Limington on Route 117.
The truck’s license plate number if Maine PC 6817VA. Anyone with information about the thief is urged to call Trooper Kyle Wells at 657-3030.
