JEFFERSON — The Jefferson Historical Society will holds its annual Open House, Exhibit Day and Choose-Your-Own Cookie Sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, in the old Jefferson Town House, 7 Gardiner Road. This year’s theme is “Celebrations and Jefferson in the 50s.”
The event will feature photos of celebrations throughout the years with an emphasis on life in the 1950s, school photos, a 4-H display, items related to the large Park and Pollard canning factory in town, the early 1900’s telephone switchboard and more. Ralph Bond’s 1800’s horse-drawn hearse will be displayed outside; weather permitting.

Customers can line up for the Choose-Your-Own Cookies sale to choose among a variety of home-made cookies. Lunch will be available from Sully’s Hotdog and Brot wagon.
