Rep. Bruce Poliquin, R-2nd District, decided to make meaningless political headlines out of the Export-Import Bank, despite the fact that 80 jobs in Bangor could have been saved.
He voted to kill the bank half a dozen times before switching his stance when it started to be reported that his opposition was literally killing jobs. He followed the polls and the editorials, not the best interest of Maine people. In my opinion, that is not doing the right thing. That is trying to get back on the winning side.
Unfortunately, for the people of Maine, the only thing that came from that fiasco was 80 lost jobs. I for one am getting tired of politics being more important than people.
